Pumpkin painting...

I thought it would be fun for Bridger to paint the pumpkin he got from his field trip, so tonight I pulled out the paints and let him go for it. He did a great job and really got into it! He did get a little paint on his hands a time or two and was kind of annoyed at that, but I just kept assuring him it was fine and that we could wash it when he was all done. He is probably about the cleanest painter I've ever seen! Anyway, his pumpkin turned out cute and it was a fun little project for him!

Halloween Party...

Josh's work had their annual Halloween Party this past Wednesday. We've never made it to the Halloween party before, but were glad we made it this year...it was a lot of fun and Bridger loved it...plus he got to wear his blue monster costume! The party is put on by honorary colonels, basically very generous people that throw parties for the police department throughout the year. Anyway, they had the place decorated very cute. There were goody bags on the tables for everyone, with quite an assortment. They also served dinner, had quite a few games, and had cookies to decorate. There was a "fishing pond" which Bridger thought was awesome...he won a little parachute Frankenstein, which he calls his "little dude"! There was also a cake walk...kind of like musical chairs, but when your picture is chosen, you get a cupcake. Bridger immediately began eating his cupcake as soon as it was given to him...he loves his treats! He was also given glow stick bracelets, which he thought was cool! Notice the last picture...that is what he did with those bracelets on the way home...silly boy! I just love that he is old enough to really enjoy things like this, it is just so fun to watch him! Now, he has a Halloween party for preschool next week and then it's time for the big night! He's super excited for all of these festivities!

More Halloween Fun...

My sister-in-law, Felicia, invited Bridger and I up for a sleepover, along with my mother-in-law (Julie) and other sister-in-law(Kayley). Bridger was way excited to go to Feli's house! We first had some dinner at a yummy little cafe, called Normandie's Cafe. Bridger was so funny there! The waiter came by and asked us how we were doing. Bridger was looking at the menu, so he replied to the waiter, "I'm just looking at your stuff!" After dinner, Julie and Kayley were looking at a design on a cake at the cafe, trying to figure out what it was...Bridger told them "It's a cake."...of course! After dinner we played a game, watched a bit of "Ice Age", then Bridger went to bed. After he was in bed, we watched "P.S. I Love You." It was a very cute movie! This morning, we took Bridger to Wheeler Farm where they had a lot of fun Halloween activities going on. Bridger was able to pick out a pumpkin and decorate it, we made a scarecrow, went on a wagon ride, looked at animals which he loved, but I think maybe his favorite was playing in a little tree house they had there. We had a great time, but were definitely tired by the end of the day!

Cornbelly's...

Today, Bridger had a field trip for his little preschool play group. It was so fun, I am glad we were able to go (we were a little bit late due to a doctor's appointment). For those of you around here, Cornbelly's is at Thanksgiving Point and it was amazing...they had so many fun things for the kids to do! Some of the things Bridger was able to do include: jumping on a giant "pillow", a straw ride, a cow ride (they were pulled by a tractor), slides, diggers, a corn pit, play houses, and more! After the cow ride, he said, "I want to go tell that man thank you." That "man" was the driver for the ride...I was impressed that he came up with that one on his own! He really loved the play houses...but was a stinker and kept hiding so I couldn't take his picture...he thought that was hilarious! He also got to pick out a pumpkin. It took him quite a while to find the perfect pumpkin. He didn't want one that was dirty...kind of hard when you are in a pumpkin patch. I kept explaining to him that we can wash it, so finally he picked one out and said "It's okay, we can wash it when we get home." Now we need to decorate it! It was a fun day and he really had a great time...I love taking him to things like that...he is at such a fun age!

Funny things...

***This is kind of longer than I planned on, but I wanted to get a few things written down about Bridger.***
Okay, I haven't taken very many pictures lately for whatever reason...I guess we haven't done anything overly exciting...thankfully, Halloween is coming up, so we'll have tons of pictures soon. But, I do want to put a few funny things that Bridger has said lately on here.
**Last Sunday, we were on a walk with Josh's family. Bridger was riding on Neil's (bro-in-law) shoulders and said to him, "Can I hold on to that big head of yours?" Oh my, so funny!
**A couple of weeks ago, Bridger was taking forever to eat his lunch, so I said to him, "You're taking a long time to eat." He looked at me and said, "Mmm-hmm, mommy. You're smart." Okay, where does this come from...he's not even 3 yet!
**We're trying to get him very excited about the baby, so we talk about it a lot and he talks about her all the time and about how he's a big brother. He asked me one day, "Mommy, is the baby going to rip out of your shirt or just crawl out?" Wouldn't it be great if she just "crawled" out.
Oh, on another exciting note, Bridger's pretty much potty-trained. I cannot brag about anything I did, because I think he was easy and was ready. He did great! We went straight to big boy underwear and haven't had too much of a problem since...and this started in August! He doesn't hardly have any accidents at all, but I do have to ask him quite a bit still if he needs to go, because he gets too busy and waits too long. Anyway, I feel very lucky to have him out of diapers before the baby comes. Bridger is also in "school" we do a little preschool/playgroup twice a week with other kids in the ward. I only have to teach once every 5th week, so it's not bad at all. Bridger loves "school" and I love the break, plus I think it is so great for him to have social interaction.
Okay, sorry this is kind of long and not the most exciting post ever, but I wanted to just update things on here mostly for journaling purposes! We're doing great and are getting excited for all the upcoming holidays, birthdays and the baby!
