Easter Sunday...

Bridger and Kenna were so very sweet to sleep until about 8:15, it was so nice to get up and get ready before they even got up...we keep waiting for them to wake up early on Christmas and Easter, but so far so good...we'll keep our fingers crossed that it will stay that way!  They were very excited to see that the Easter Bunny left some eggs in their room, and then they kept finding them all over the house.  I loved their reactions every time they found an egg...they were so excited, I don't want them to ever loose that childhood joy, I absolutely love it!  Kenna walked around with an open egg, eating candy as she was collecting more eggs.  Towards the end of rounding up all their eggs, they managed to find their Easter baskets.  The Easter Bunny was good to them...probably knew that they needed some spring/summer items!  Bridger got new church clothes...his old church pants were way too small on him.  He was excited to have a white shirt and tie, because he would look "just like daddy".  He also got shorts and a shirt, a Camelbak pirate waterbottle,  Batman Lego game and a Kung Zhu pet.  Kenna also got clothes, including her Easter dress, camelbak waterbottle, shoes, and a pink Zhu Zhu puppy.  The kids had a blast playing with their Zhu Zhu pets today!  For breakfast we had yummy orange and cinnamon rolls, then we got all ready for church and had an amazing Easter Sunday meeting.  After church, we had a nice dinner, then Whitney and Dani had to leave...we love having them here, so it's always sad when they have to leave.  We decided to make the rest of the evening completely devoted to the true meaning of  Easter and the Atonement.  We watched "To This End Was I Born" and used that as a great opportunity to discuss in more detail the meaning of Easter.  It was a great Easter Sunday, we are very blessed and fortunate.

Family Easter Party...

Yesterday we also went up to Josh's grandma's house for her annual Easter Party.  She puts a lot of work into the party every year!  The kids had a blast.  It started out with them hunting for lots of goodies outside, from chips to Sunny Delight to M&Ms and more.  After that we had a delicious dinner and visited.  Following that, the kiddos had to find the gift that she hides around the house for them.  She had to start writing down where she hides them because she is so good at it that it sometimes takes us a very long time to find the presents.  Bridger got some nice new shorts, Kenna got a cute little pink outfit.  After dessert we headed over to Josh's parents house to visit with them.  They were spoiled more with clothes, shoes for Kenna and a lemonade jug for Bridger (he's been making a lemonade stand in our basement lately, so this is perfect for him!).  We had a nice time visiting with his parents for a few hours and the kids had a blast playing outside in their awesome sandbox!  Our children are definitely loved...my mom also sent them a fun Easter package full of all sorts of fun suprises...they think it's pretty sweet to get a package with such fun goodies!  When we got home for the night, they got ready for bed, put out their baskets, left some carrots for the Easter bunny, read Here Comes Peter Cottontail, and went to bed excited for Easter morning.  Bridger was cute though...before he went to bed, he said, "I'm not as excited for Easter because that means the twins are leaving tomorrow."  So cute and sweet.

Ward Easter Party...

We hung out with our friends/neighbors at the party...their little boy Brayden is here with Bridger and Kenna!

Yesterday morning we decided it would be fun to take our kiddos to the ward Easter Party, Whitney and Dani came along too!  They served breakfast, had a nice little program, and then had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.  It was nice because the little kids were able to hunt for eggs inside, eliminating the cold and craziness of dealing with the big kids.  Each child was able to get 15 eggs, which was quite a lot I though...they also had good candy in them, so Bridger thought it was even more fabulous!  I love being able to take our kids to all the fun little celebrations for the holidays!

I decided to cut my losses for the time being and skip right to Easter posts.  I will still work on updating the things I've missed...hopefully it won't get too confusing.  It's just hard to post because I try to do it when the kids are napping or asleep for the night...but then Josh is relaxing playing a game or watching a show so I can't hardly upload photos...kind of frustrating that our internet isn't faster.  If I get a chance tonight (I really hope I do) I will put up more pics of Easter festivities...if not, I will get it done tomorrow!! 

Hope everyone has had an amazing Easter.  I am so very grateful for the Ressurection and the knowledge that we will live with Him one day, well and whole.  I am so very thankful for all my blessings, especially for my Savior and his love for me.  Happy Easter to all!

Dyeing eggs...



This was the meltdown...awesome!!



We did the usual Easter Egg Dyeing...so fun!  Whitney and Dani were here with us for the Easter weekend, so they were able to help us color eggs.  We dyed 4 dozen eggs...that's a ton, isn't it?!  We needed a lot because I had to take a bunch of deviled eggs to Josh's grandma's the following day.  The egg dyeing started out great, but about half to two thirds of the way through, Kenna had a total melt down(all because I told her she couldn't have any candy)...so I paused the easter egg dyeing, got her in bed and resumed.  I am happy to report that my kids didn't spill any dye...but I did...awesome!  It stained a part of my table light pink, but it does seem to be fading fast!  Our eggs turned out fabulous!  I love Easter! 

Nothing but sweet...

This is what I get when I want Kenna to pose cute for a picture...it starts out with her being totally goofy or yelling that she doesn't want to pose, then turns into crying/screaming, then trying to "be sweet"!  She sure is a firecracker, but is as cute as can be!

Bridger thought it was hilarious and wanted me to get a picture of him laughing...then he tried to give Kenna a kiss to make it all better!  Love my kids!

Sledding, Snowmobiling, and Snowmen...

Not much else to say...we all had a lot of fun together enjoying the snow!

The ladies...

These are the fabulous ladies I get to work with!  I lucked out and got a great team again!  For Christmas we decided that instead of giving each other Christmas gifts, we would all go out to lunch instead...so we went to delicious Texas Roadhouse!  We all had such a great time together, it was definitely more fun that just giving a gift!  I think this shall be a tradition.  The ladies from left to right are:Val, Tiffany, Sommer (my job share partner), Heather, me, Shari...they are pretty much awesome!

I hate that I am soooo behind in blogging!  Nothing like Christmas posts up in April, with Easter in a week!  I wanted to get it all caught up today, but Josh is watching a show and when I upload pictures, it kicks him out of his show...I guess we don't have enough speed when uploading.  The good news though is that I have all the pictures on my external hard drive, off my camera...so when I get a free minute I will just keep working through my posts.  I want to have it updated by Easter, so I can put Easter posts up in a timely manner! 

Preschool Christmas Program...

Our handsome little boy had his preschool Christmas program that Kenna and I were able to go to.  Luckily he wasn't quite as obnoxious as he was for his Halloween program...probably because he was super tired, he seemed to be yawning half the time!  He did good though and it was fun to watch him.  His teacher is so cute with Bridger and his entire class!

Kenna's birthday party...

One of Kenna's loves lately is Elmo...she wants to watch it on the computer all the time.  When Elmo's song comes on, she starts singing and bouncing up and down, thus the Elmo themed party.  I had a lot of fun making her Elmo cake and think it turned out pretty good (and it wasn't as hard as some cakes I've made for Bridger)...Kenna especially loved it!  We had all of our family come over that were able to.  We had dinner for everyone...homemade mac and cheese...Kenna's favorite!  She got a lot of fun gifts from everyone, including an Elmo doll, Elmo figurines, magnetic dress up dolls, books, clothes and more...she is definitely loved!
