Kenna's attempts at smiling!...

As I mentioned previously, Kenna has been smiling a little bit! It's so cute and it just melts your heart when she does it. The other day I went to get her up from a nap, and said "Hello Kenna", she looked up at me and smiled...so so cute! She's smiling a little more often, but it is still not super consistent. I got a couple of pictures of her attempts at smiling. I could not get the full on smile, because she would turn her head or smile too quickly...soon I will have a better picture of it I am sure! I also included just some other cute pics I snapped of her at that same time, and one of Kenna and Bridger together. I love having two kids...even though it is a lot of work! They are both so fun and so adorable! ...Some pics are blurry...but that's what you get when the baby is on my lap and Bridger wants to "help"...

Funny little Bridger...

Okay, here are some pics of Bridger watching a Sesame Street Podcast on the iPod...it's just so funny to me to think about the differences in technology that my kids will grow up with compared to what I had growing up...it's definitely changed quite a bit! Anyway, he really loves to listen to the iPod...but we need to get earbuds or earphones that work better for him, they always fall out!

Bridger is so funny...he says the funniest things. So, I had to post a couple of things he's said lately so that I can remember them...

*I was in the basement, doing some laundry. He comes downstairs to me, shows me a little road sign that goes to his cars and said, "I have a sign that says 'I accidentally stopped my show and need it turned on again.'" So funny...he apparently changed the channel and couldn't figure out how to get his show back on.

*We had Cafe Rio a week ago, and there was a mint from there sitting on our table. I told Bridger he could have it when he was all done eating. Bridger says to me, "Mom, the mint is crying." I asked him why, and he said, "Because it wants me to eat it." He then turned to the mint and said, "It's okay mint, don't cry. I'm coming, I'll eat you soon, I'm almost done!"

*He was watching Little Einsteins, which is a show that uses music a lot. After watching Little Einsteins, he said, "I am going to drive my car allegro!" You know your child watches Little Einsteins perhaps a little too much when he says that!

6 weeks old...

I just can't believe how quickly time goes! Kenna is already 6 weeks old! She is such a little cutie and is such a girl! I love that even her little cry sounds like a girl! She's been smiling off and on for the past week and is doing so more often. I am sure that within the next week or two she will be smiling all the time...it's so cute! Hopefully I can get a pic of it soon! These pictures aren't super fab but she wasn't too happy at this point...she was a bit tired, so I took them quick. Oh and the outfit she is wearing is the one we brought her home from the hospital in. It was huge on her, we could barely keep it on her...it definitely fits her much better now.

Oh my...

Yes, this is actually how Bridger came down the stairs the other day...and Josh thought it was pretty hilarious! Poor little guy...what is he being taught! Oh and yes, of course Josh did this to him!

Photo shoot...

Little Miss Kenna had her first "photo shoot". My friend Jenni has started a little photography business and was down at our house the other day, so she took pics of Kenna...and some of Bridger. They turned out super cute! I love them all! Too bad Jenni is moving soon! Anyway, Kenna is adorable! I love her cute pink quilt...Josh's mom made it! Bridger's Day Out...

I decided that Bridger needed some "Mommy" time. He's been so used to having all of my attention for the past three years, that I think the transition has been a little rough for him. He's been good, but I could just tell he needed time with me only. On Wednesday, when he got up, I told him about "Build A Bear" and asked him if he would like to go with just me. He said he would, so we started getting ready. At breakfast, Josh teasingly asked Bridger if he should just take him. Bridger said, "No, you stay here with Kenna. It's just mommy and me." So, yah, I think he was excited. He had a great time at Build a Bear. He was so cute and had fun picking out his dog, washing him, getting him dressed, etc. He named his dog "Einstein"...after Little Einsteins. After Build a Bear, we went to Barnes and Noble to exchange a book and he enjoyed reading books there for a few minutes. We finished the day by picking up lunch at Cafe Rio and taking it home, so that Josh could eat with us. Bridger was so good this day and I really think he enjoyed it. I told him I had a great time with him, and he said he had a lot of fun with me. I was so thrilled that I was able to take him and do something with him only. He is such a fun little boy!

And finally, I had to put a few more pics in of Kenna. She just seems to get cuter and cuter every day! I can't believe she will be a month old in less than a week!

Stickery Bus...

Bridger got a cool double decker bus from Grandpa Johnson. He had some smiley stickers and decided he wanted to turn his bus into a "stickery" bus. After he put the stickers all over it, he informed me that I needed to take a picture of it! So, I just had to post the picture. He is such a cutie! Oh, a funny thing that he said the other day...he was talking to Whitney, because it was the twins' birthday on New Year's Eve, anyway, he asked her if she wanted a dinosaur cake, because "when he was a little boy he had a dinosaur cake"...okay, that was like a month and a half ago...he's not a little boy anymore, I guess! So funny!

Also, here is Kenna's "O face". She makes a little o with her mouth a lot...usually it's even smaller than that, but that's what I got a picture of. She's such a cutie...we love having her here! I will post more pics later as she is now 3 weeks old...crazy how fast time goes!
