Bridger is 3...

I can hardly believe that my little baby boy is already 3. It has gone by so quickly and I realize that before long he won't be my baby at all. He is such a sweet little boy...sometimes he is so busy and crazy, but that is to be expected. I love how quickly he catches on to things and how he can carry on a conversation so well. I also love how he is so into all the "boy" things...he loves cars, being outside, 4-wheeler rides, and basically anything that Josh enjoys! However, he does still like to be clean and have his room, etc clean...which he gets from me. And I love how excited he is to be a big brother. I think he had a great birthday. We gave him clothes, a book, train tracks for his train set, and Legos. He loves the Legos...they are way fun for him...and Josh! We just chilled around the house on his actual birthday, and played with him...I think he enjoyed that. He did have school the morning of his birthday and was very excited to take cupcakes to his friends at school.

The day after his birthday he had his 3 year old check up, which included shots...he did quite well with them and only cried for about 30 seconds at the most. The nurses couldn't believe how cute he was when he was crying. One of the nurses said to him (after giving him a shot), "Oh, can I just give you a hug...you are so cute." He does have a very cute sad/crying face...which sucks me right in sometimes. Anyway, he is doing well. He is 40 inches tall, which is the 95th percentile and he weighs 36.8 pounds, which is the 89th percentile...so he is still a big boy...which we already knew. Happy birthday little Bridger...we love you!

Bridger's birthday party...

We celebrated Bridger's birthday over the weekend...it was a few days early, but that worked out the best. It's hard to believe he is going to be 3! Anyway, we had a great little family party. Bridger requested a long time ago that he have a dinosaur cake for his birthday. I made him one...it took forever, but it turned out pretty good and he absolutely loved it! We had yummy turkey burritos and chips and salsa...Bridger loves Mexican food, especially chips and salsa! He got a lot of great presents, including: a new coat, a ball thing he calls "Grub", a book, a puzzle/book, 4 in one puzzle, an aquadoodle, dinosaurs, Kung Fu Panda, clothes, and my favorite...underwear...oh I wish everyone could have seen his reaction to that...it was hilarious! And that does not include anything we are giving him...we're saving it for his actual birthday...anyway, he's very loved! He really enjoyed having everyone here for him and was excited about it all day! Oh, one of my favorite things he said/did was during the cake and ice cream time. He finished blowing out the candles on his cake, so I took the cake to the counter to cut it. When Aunt Felicia handed him his piece of cake, he looked at her and said, "What did you do to my cake?" He didn't understand at first that the cake was to eat, because he loved the dinosaur! Such a funny boy! Thanks to all our family for making his party great and for all the wonderful gifts!

Trick-or-treating...

Bridger was so excited to go trick-or-treating! It took forever to get him into his costume because he was just way too excited! He would hardly pose for any pictures, because he just wanted to get going...so, there is only one picture of him before. When he got back he immediately took his costume off because it got wet due to the rain! So, I am just glad I got some pictures of him in his costume at the Halloween parties we've been too. He was pretty excited about all the candy he got...he made out pretty well and they weren't even gone that long! Oh, we have a ton of kids around here, so we had a lot of trick-or-treaters...at least 160...a little crazy! Anyway, Bridger was way excited for Halloween and now I can't believe it's over and that it's November already!

Pumpkin Carving...

We picked out pumpkins on Monday, but didn't carve them until Wednesday. We had huge pumpkins and they ended up having super thick rhine, so it was a major pain to carve them! Anyway, cleaning out the pumpkins always makes mine and Josh's hands super itchy, so Josh got some latex gloves so that it would hopefully help a bit. Josh cut Bridger's pumpkin open and told him to reach in and pull out the stuff inside. Bridger looked at Josh and said, "Can I have your gloves please?" Oh my...he really has issues with getting his hands dirty! Anyway, we put my gloves on Bridger, but even then he was still nervous about putting his hands in the pumpkin. He pulled out a little bit of the insides, but not much so it was mostly Josh and I doing all the work! I had Bridger tell me what he wanted the face to look like...he wanted circle eyes, triangle nose, and an angry face...Bridger's angry face isn't very mean looking, but we tried to mimick it as close as we could! Josh carved the pumpkin...kudos to him because he had to carve his own and like I said they were a big pain! Anyway, I think all of our pumpkins turned out cute. Oh and Josh informed me that we are going to go out and shoot them now that Halloween is done...yep, I'll let you know how that goes...lol!

Preschool Halloween Party...

We had a little preschool party on Wednesday. We combine with another preschool play group for field trips and parties, so it's fun to have everyone there! The party went great and I think Bridger had a great time! One of the games that we played was wrapping up the children in toilet paper to look like mummies. Bridger was a good sport, but he didn't really like it too much as he informed me, "I don't think I really like this!" There were several other games, yummy Halloween food, and a pinata. It was hilarious watching 2 and 3 year olds trying to hit the pinata. They did pretty good though! It was a great party and Bridger loved being there with all of his friends! Oh, I forgot my camera for the party so thanks Katie for emailing me some pics!!
